Before your appointment, be sure to:

  • Refrain from using topical Minoxidil, hair fibers, & other topical treatments for 72 hours
  • Abstain from caffeine, alcohol, & Aspirin/ibuprofen/Tylenol for 24 hours
  • Exfoliate your scalp the night before

  • Notify our studio if you’re feeling ill, have started using antibiotics, or do not meet the criteria of the medical clearance outlined in your treatment care plan

Pre-Care Instructions

  • Hairline restoration / Shaved head treatment: If you currently have a shaved/buzzed head hairstyle, lightly exfoliate your scalp to remove any dead skin cells prior to your appointment. You may shave your head with clippers (no guard) the day of your appointment. Do not WET shave your head with a razor for 24 hours prior to your treatment. This allows your natural hair follicles to be more visible, allowing us to match the color, size, and density.
  • Men’s density treatment: Please arrive at your appointment with your hair trimmed to the shortest length you ever plan to wear it. Wash your hair and exfoliate your scalp the night before your treatment. Please arrive at your appointment with a clean scalp and NO product in your hair. Your hair must be dry.
  • Women’s density treatment: Wash your hair and exfoliate your scalp the night before your treatment. Please arrive at your appointment with a clean scalp and NO product in your hair. Your hair must be dry.

Aftercare Instructions

  • First 3 days: No water on the scalp. No sweating or heavy exercise. No touching or picking the scalp. No soap, shampoo or conditioner. No sun exposure (*hats must be new or just washed).
  • Days 4-9: You may wash your hair with warm water (no scalp scrubbing). You may sweat and exercise lightly. You may moisturize your scalp.
  • Day 10+: You may wash your scalp as normal. You may sweat and exercise as normal.
  • NO clippers for 1 week
  • NO razors for 2 weeks
  • NO swimming or saunas for 2 weeks
  • NO topical Minoxidil or scalp oil for 2 weeks

Long-term Care

  • Exfoliate your scalp at least twice per month to remove dead skin cells and maintain the appearance of the pigment.
  • Limit sun exposure and wear SPF 50+ to prevent the pigment from fading.
  • Avoid using products with AHA and high concentrations of alcohol. These ingredients can also cause pigment to fade.
